HomeMatch is a program operated by Cape Breton University, in collaboration with the Cape Breton Regional Affordable Housing Renovation Partnership Society, with a mandate that includes identifying potential properties which may be acquired by agencies which would refurbish, repair and make available such properties to individuals or families who may be at risk of homelessness, by way of lease or conveyance or any other arrangement between the individuals or families and the agency.
HomeMatch's role is to bring together such agencies and such individuals or families. There is no promise or guarantee of support of any sort for any individual.
Cape Breton University and the Cape Breton Regional Affordable Housing Renovation Partnership Society are not responsible for any arrangements that any agency and individuals or families may negotiate and/or enter into.
The HomeMatch program, Cape Breton University, and the Cape Breton Regional Affordable Housing Renovation Partnership Society are not agents, principals, contractors, employers or representatives of any agency nor of any individual or family.
The HomeMatch program, Cape Breton University, and the Cape Breton Regional Affordable Housing Renovation Partnership Society are not and shall not be held liable for any consequence, damages, costs or expenses that may arise as a result of any contract, conveyance, lease or any arrangement or understanding that may be entered into between any such agency and individuals or families.
